Petralon Energy proudly announces the launch of the Petralon Future Leaders Program (PFLP) in commemoration of a decade of impactful investments across Nigeria’s oil & gas sector. As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the PFLP aims to cultivate emerging talent in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), with an initial focus on Engineering and Geology disciplines.
The Petralon Future Leaders Program is designed to support nominated students throughout their higher education journey, fostering a new generation of innovators and leaders across Africa. This initiative underscores Petralon’s commitment to enriching lives and shaping a sustainable future beyond its host communities.
“We believe in the transformative power of education and community investment,” said Ahonsi Unuigbe, CEO at Petralon Energy. “The Petralon Future Leaders Program reflects our dedication to empowering young minds who will drive progress and innovation in the energy sector and beyond.”
Ten outstanding students from esteemed institutions such as the Universities of Port Harcourt, Benin, Uyo, Ibadan, the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, will be inaugural beneficiaries of the program. Each scholar will receive comprehensive support covering tuition, accommodation, study materials, and living allowances, ensuring they can focus on their academic pursuits.

Additionally, members of Petralon’s staff have volunteered to mentor students throughout their studies. This initiative aims to guide future leaders toward excellence and success.
“Our vision extends beyond profitability; it encompasses sustainable value creation and community development,” added Kenneth Uzor, Community Relations & CSR Manager at Petralon Energy. “Through initiatives like the Future Leaders Program, we aim to empower the next generation of African leaders who will drive our continent’s growth and prosperity.”
