Community Partnerships
At Petralon, we work hand-in-hand with our host communities to design and deliver projects that reflect their real needs. Our model puts decision-making in local hands, ensuring that every investment creates lasting impact and ownership.

During the Dawes Island well re-entry project, over 40 community youths were employed, gaining valuable technical experience and economic empowerment, a small but powerful example of how local participation fuels shared success.

When communities lead and companies listen, development becomes sustainable, and that’s the partnership we’re building.
CSR Initiatives
At Petralon Energy, we believe progress must be shared. Our approach to corporate social responsibility mirrors this by creating meaningful, measurable impact in the communities where we operate. Guided by our philosophy of redefining the relationship between oil companies and communities, we invest in initiatives that promote education, enterprise, and empowerment.
Host Community Development Trusts (HCDTs)
In alignment with the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), Petralon has established and incorporated Host Community Development Trusts for the Ogoloma and Koniama communities in Rivers State. Each Trust is designed to empower communities to identify and implement their own development priorities through a transparent governance structure.

Future Leaders Programme (FLP)
The Petralon Future Leaders Programme was launched to develop the next generation of energy professionals. The programme targets outstanding students from Nigerian universities studying Geology, Petroleum Engineering, and related disciplines, funding their tuition and then providing them with jobs. The goal is to build a pipeline of indigenous talent equipped to drive Africa’s energy future.

Okpekpe 10km Road Race Sponsorship
Our first corporate social responsibility initiative, sponsorship of the Okpekpe International 10km Road Race, marked Petralon’s entry into community-focused impact. As sponsors of Nigeria’s first IAAF-certified road race, we championed wellness, inclusion, and national pride, values that mirror our own philosophy of endurance, partnership, and progress.

Ogoloma Palace Renovation
As part of our commitment to strengthening traditional governance structures within our host communities, we initiated the Ogoloma Amanyanabo Palace Remodelling Project in Abuloma, Port Harcourt. Executed safely and expertly by qualified local vendors, the project, our pilot in this category, focused on renovating and furnishing the palace of His Majesty King E.T.I. Obudibo JP, Ikwo V, the Amanyanabo of Ogoloma Kingdom.
